Groups are a way to organize the people you share moments with. A family group, a friend group, a work team — any set of people you’d want to invite to events together. You can invite an entire group to an event with one tap from the event page — every accepted member gets a notification. See Events for details on inviting groups to events.
Tap the people icon in the nav bar (between the bell and your avatar) to open the Groups page. Here you’ll see:
Each group name links to its detail page. A + Create Group button at the top right lets you start a new one.
From the Groups page, tap + Create Group and fill in:
yourusername.withme.you/groups/groupname.You’re the host of any group you create. Only you can invite members, remove them, edit the description, or delete the group.
As host, you can add a photo to represent the group. On the group page, tap the circle showing the group’s initial — a file picker opens. Select an image, position it in the circular preview (drag to reposition, zoom slider or pinch to adjust), and tap Save. The photo is cropped and saved exactly as shown.
The avatar appears on the group detail page, in the Groups page listings, and in pending invitation cards. To remove it, tap Remove below the photo — the group reverts to showing its initial. Only the host can change or remove the avatar; members see it but can’t edit.
On the group page, type a username into the invite box. As you type, suggestions appear — users who share an event with you are shown first with a “shared” badge. You can type with or without the @ symbol. Pick a name from the list (or type the full username) and tap Invite.
The invited person gets a notification — a red dot appears on the bell icon in their nav bar. They can accept or decline from the notifications page.
You invite one person at a time. There’s no bulk invite.
When someone invites you to a group, you’ll see a red dot on the bell icon in the nav bar. You can respond in two places:
Each invite shows who invited you and the group name. Tap Accept to join or Decline to pass. You can also just leave it — pending invites stay until you act on them.
After accepting, the group moves to “Groups you’re in” on the Groups page, and you can view its members from the group detail page. The group host is notified that you joined.
The group page shows the group name, description, host, and a list of all members with their status (pending, accepted, or declined). Each member’s name links to their profile page.
If you’re the host, you also see the invite form and can remove members.
The host can remove any member from the group page — tap Remove next to their name. This deletes their membership and any related notification. If you want them back, you’ll need to invite them again.
On your Settings page, under “Invite Preferences,” you can choose who’s allowed to invite you to groups and events:
This applies to both group invites and event invites. If you’re new and only know the people who invited you to events, “shared events only” keeps things limited to people you’ve actually connected with.
If you’re a member of a group (not the host), you can leave anytime. On the group page, tap Leave Group at the bottom. You’re removed immediately. If you want to rejoin later, the host will need to invite you again.
Groups you host are listed on your public profile page at yourusername.withme.you. Each group name links to the group page where visitors can see the member list. This is public — anyone can see which groups you host.
The Settings page also shows a “Your Groups” link with a count — tap it to go to the full Groups page.
The host can delete a group from the group page. Tap Delete Group at the bottom. All members are removed and any related notifications are cleaned up. This cannot be undone.
